ONE Festival is a celebration of African, Caribbean and South American arts, heritage and culture drawing from all parts of the black diaspora, bringing together communities in and around the West Midlands and beyond.

About ONE Fest

ONE Fest will be a 3-day cultural celebration welcoming 54 African nations, 21 Caribbean Islands and numerous Afro-Latinos from South American countries. Each country will have the opportunity to showcase its dynamic and creative artistic experiences through music, dance, drama, art, unique sports and games.

Independence Day is a public holiday in Saint Kitts and Nevis and is observed on 19th September. There’s more to this twin-island nation than year-round sunshine, palm-fringed white sand beaches and luxurious hotels. For instance, did you know that it’s the smallest sovereign state in the Western Hemisphere?

Kenya is located on the West coast of the African continent, this year Kenya celebrates its 65th year of independence. The Kenyans living in the West Midlands are a vibrant and active community. The festival will provide an excellent opportunity for them to share their rich culture and heritage, whilst providing lots of opportunities for crowd participation.

Q BEE MARKETS

An opportunity for local creatives to sell their artisan products and develop their relationships with their customers through talks and demonstrations.

This is a great opportunity to encourage young entrepreneurs to get involved and experience face 2 face customer relationship development. We will be working with local secondary schools, colleges and universities to share the message.

TASTE OF PARADISE

An opportunity for local creatives to sell their artisan products and develop their relationships with their customers through talks and demonstrations.

About Us

Bright Young Minds is a registered UK Charity with an international reach, supporting children, young people and families predominantly from the Black and BAME communities experiencing issues associated with child poverty, bullying, knife crime and social disadvantage.

Part of our work has been raising awareness in schools, through park events and festivals. We also provide school holiday clubs alongside a holiday hunger scheme, after-school enrichment activities and sporting/adventure activities.

V.O.W.S

Various Outreach Working Services

V.O.W.S helps develop and deliver a number of work programmes; on preserving the Windrush Generation Legacy, Health & Wellbeing, Art & Craft, Educational & Social, Visual & Digital activities and other community events that will help to support our families, senior citizens and young people, to create better community cohesion, job opportunities, confidence building, responsibility respectability, leadership and entrepreneurship.
